The Deputy Ambassador, Mr. Jorge Cabrera Espinós, highlighted the importance of these scholarships, which have been awarded since 2008, and praised the commitment of the patrons and members of the British-Spanish Society, who “contribute to bringing the United Kingdom and Spain even closer together."
The President of the British-Spanish Society, Sir Anthony Cooke-Yarborough, spoke about the work of the association and explained the scholarship programme, which funds postgraduate studies in humanities, arts, science and medicine, social affairs and sustainable development.
The list of this year's scholarship recipients was then revealed with the research projects they will undertake, along with an explanation of the company or institution sponsoring their studies. Congratulations to all.
