José Manuel Albares attends the Munich Security Conference (MSC)

Since 1963, the MSC has been the most important international meeting in the field of security. Its aim is to discuss current foreign, security and defence policy issues. On this occasion, Minister Albares took part in a meeting on the future of Israeli-Palestinian relations. He also held various bilateral meetings.

In his intervention, the head of Spanish diplomacy said that the "tragic opportunity" of war in the Middle East should be seized to promote the two-State solution, stressing that "this is the true formula that will bring peace and security to both peoples". Minister Albares assured that Israel is a friend of this country, so that "nothing we say is directed against Israel".  "But at the same time, Spain will not stop talking about the need to protect Palestinian civilians," he added. 

During his stay in Munich, Minister Albares met with his counterparts from Jordan and Argentina and held meetings with the heads of Oracle, Google and Airbus, to name a few.
