José Manuel Albares participates in the first "Grand Continent" Summit

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation has opened the first edition of the "Grand Continent" Summit, which is being held between the 18th and 20th of December in Courmayeur, a town in the Italian region of Valle d'Aosta.

In his presentation, José Manuel Albares highlighted the work undertaken by Spain during our Presidency of the Council of the EU, "reinforcing the European project and European unity". He has also assured that "our efforts are born of the conviction that only the European Union can ensure a prosperous future and the well-being of all citizens".

The "Grand Continent" is a magazine founded in 2019, within the ENS, dedicated to geopolitics, European affairs and law. The aim of the meeting is to build a strategic, political, and intellectual debate among Europeans, and between Europe and the rest of the world, in order to meet the challenges of our time. Participants shall include heads and former heads of State, ministers and other authorities, EU institutions, senior business executives, opinion leaders, artists, writers, and academics.
