Spain strongly condemns the siege of Palestinian families in the village of Qusra by Israeli settlers. Spain urges Israel to fulfil its obligations as an occupying power, prevent arbitrary violence and intimidation by settlers against Palestinians, put an end to their impunity, protect the physical integrity and livelihoods of the Palestinian population under occupation in accordance with international humanitarian law, and bring an end to all settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory, which are contrary to international law.
Spain reiterates its firm commitment to the implementation of the two-State solution, with Israel and Palestine living side by side in peace and security, as the only path towards a just, sustainable and lasting peace in the region.
