PRESS STATEMENT 094

Spain condemns Houthi attacks on civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia

Today
Spain strongly condemns the unacceptable and indiscriminate Houthi attacks on strategic civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, and extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured, as well as expressing its solidarity with the Saudi people and Government.

The Houthi attacks on Dammam airport, as well as the military offensive in Yemen – and specifically in Taiz – are fuelling a dangerous escalation of violence in the region.

The Spanish Government calls for an immediate cessation of the attacks, for de-escalation, and for compliance with international law in accordance with the principles of the United Nations Charter.
