The Spanish Government calls for full compliance with the cessation of hostilities agreement between Israel and Lebanon

On 18 February the deadline set in the cessation of hostilities agreement between Israel and Lebanon passed. The Government calls for full compliance with it, with the withdrawal of Israeli troops to allow the redeployment of the Lebanese Armed Forces in the south of the country.

 

Spain reiterates its commitment to the stability and territorial integrity of Lebanon, which is indispensable for stability in the region, and expresses its support for the full implementation of Resolution 1701 and its commitment to the work of UNIFIL.​
