The Spanish Government congratulates Claudia Sheinbaum on her election as President of Mexico.

It also extends its congratulations to the fraternal Mexican people, who have elected their representatives in a day of democratic participation.

The Spanish Government wishes the president-elect every success and applauds the election of the first female Mexican president. Moreover, it looks forward to further deepening political relations between the two Governments, as well as economic and cultural relations and fraternal and human ties, to the benefit of both nations.
