On Wednesday Mr Stoltenberg will meet with President Filip Vujanović, Deputy Prime Minister for Political System, Internal and Foreign Policy Duško Marković, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Igor Lukšić and other senior Montenegrin government officials.  The North Atlantic Council will also meet with Mr. Lukšić and Defence Minister, Milica Pejanović Đurišić.

On Thursday the Secretary General and Ambassadors will hold meetings with Prime Minister Milo Đjukanović, Minister of Justice, Zoran Pažin, Speaker of the Parliament Ranko Krivokapić and other members of the Montenegrin Parliament.

The visit will feed into deliberations by Allies ahead of a meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers in December where they will decide whether to invite Montenegro to join the Alliance. Earlier this year, Mr. Stoltenberg and Allies praised Montenegro’s considerable reform efforts and encouraged the country to continue on its Euro-Atlantic path.
