Instructions to get an Appointment for visa. Spanish Embassy in Yaunde - CAMEROON

The following process is the only way to obtain visa appointmens at the Spanish Embassy in Yaounde, CAMEROON. For every visa applicant, no exception. The consular section personnel is not authorized anymore to give visa appointments.

This Embassy can't accept any visa application without an appointment.


1ST STEP. CHECK THE AVAILABILITY OF APPOINTMENTS AT THE MOMENT FOR THE KIND OF VISA YOU WISH TO APPLY FOR.

Priority and availability of the categories are likely to change, according to the real capacity of this visa office. Last update: 7/7/2023.


Visa categories with available appointments within the next 21 days: 

  • CODE COR: Travelers with diplomatic passport or service passport. On official mission with diplomatic note and mission order. Otherwise, the code is SCH.
  • CODE TAP: Pure airport transit. Less than 24 hours in transit without leaving the international area of the airport. Otherwise, the code is SCH.
  • CODE ESC: Visas for family members of Union Citizens.
  • CODE SAN: Sanitary evacuation.
  • CODE SLP: Students admitted to public schools in Spain and/or with public scholarships.
  • CODE RFK: Family reunification under the general regime.
  • CODE TRA: Workers with authorization to reside and work in Spain, investors, entrepreneurs, highly qualified workers, researchers...

Visa categories without available appointments at the moment:

Please do not submit any appointment requests for these types of visas. You will not receive any answer.

  • CODE RES: Non-profit residency application.
  • CODE SCH: Schengen short stay visas. Business, tourism, family visits, non-airport transit, medical treatment....

CODE SLU: Students, general category:

The possibility to book an appointment is open from 10th july until 30th july 2023 for students. Only for those who have an admission letter to begin their studies in august, september or october 2023. Only the 80 first appointment request correctly submitted (with last diploma already legalized and admission letter) will be accepted.


2ND STEP. PREPARE THE VISA APPLICATION FILE.

Before requesting an appointment, please verify that you meet all the requirements and have all the necessary documents. Instructions on how to compose the application file are available here. Submitting an incomplete application file will result in inadmissibility or denial of the visa application without exception.


3RD  STEP. REQUEST ACCESS TO THE APPOINTMENT BOOKING SYSTEM.

Write to the new visa appointment request address: emb.yaunde.citvis@maec.es 

This adress receives only appointment requests and manages them automatically. This email adresss doesn't aswer other kind of requests.

For each applicant you must send a separate e-mail. Even in the case of minors.

The message must have exactly the following structure:

Subject : Enter the visa type identifier code (three letters) corresponding to the visa you wish to apply for.

Attachments Attach a picture of your passport and attach the justifying document required for your visa category.

The attached documents can't be hosted in cloud services, and they can't be larger than 1MB. In case the attachements are bigger than 1MB, please make sure you are sending only the requested document and/or reduce their size.

Body of the message : You must include ALL these data, in that order and on separate lines, using Latin alphabet in capital letters (except for the e-mail) and exactly as they appear on your PASSPORT:

- Passport number (without spaces or dashes).
- Applicant's first and last name in capital letters WITHOUT APOSTROPHIC ACCENTS OR OTHER CHARACTERS.
- Visa code.
- Contact e-mail address.
- Reason of the trip (in a few words).
- Planned start date of the trip.

PLEASE NOTICE:

Please wait at least 10 days before repeating an application for the same person.


 If 10 days have passed but no response has been received:

It is due to one of the following reasons.

  • You have entered an incorrect visa code in the subject line of the message or no code at all.
  • You have mistakenly written to an e-mail address other than : emb.yaunde.citvis @maec.es.
  • You have not strictly followed the structure of the application message explained above. If you fail to do so, the automated system cannot process the data.
  • You have reiterated the request within 10 days. The system deletes all recent messages with a repeated passport number.
  • You have not attached the documents required for your visa type.
  • The information is inconsistent (e.g. the data you have entered does not match the documents you have attached).
  • There are no appointments available within the next month for the type of visa you are applying for (always check this website for appointments before applying).


4TH STEP: BOOK AN APPOINTMENT.

If you have followed the above steps correctly and appointments are available, you will receive a confirmation email with your password to access the system.

From that moment on you can enter the booking platform and choose the appointment of your choice from those available.

You will receive an email confirming that your booking was successful.

If you need to cancel or modify your appointment, you can do so up to 3 days before the date, using the same user name and password, which will remain valid. The Consular Section staff does not have access to modify agendas.

Due to the limited availability of human resources and time, and to ensure the influx and equal opportunity among all applicants, the number of requests and cancellations that a person can make are limited to a certain reasonable number.
