Spain condemns murder and torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war

​​In light of the information received, Spain expresses its strong condemnation and absolute rejection of the murder and torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war held at Olenivka detention center.

The murder and abuse of prisoners are war crimes under the Rome Statute. Should this information be confirmed, those responsible must be brought to justice.
 
Spain will provide such collaboration as is possible with the competent international authorities to ensure that violations of international humanitarian law do not go unpunished.
