The Minister for Defense, Margarita Robles, has held a telephone conversation with the US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, where they reiterated the need to continue supporting Ukraine in the face of the invasion by Russia, within the frameworks of NATO and the European Union.
This conversation is part of ongoing contacts between allied countries exploring ways to halt Russia's escalation in the Donbas in eastern Ukraine.
Robles stressed that our country "will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine to the best of its ability in full solidarity with the Ukrainian people."
