Payment Long-Term Visas

These visas entitle their holders to reside, work, study or research in Spain.

April 20, 2022

The fee for an application for a national visa is to be paid via EFT (electronic funds transfer). Payment must be done 72 hours before the day of the confirmed appointment.  Details of the account as follows:

Embassy of Spain

Bank: Nedbank

Account type: current account

Account number 10 2927 4525

Branch code: 198 765

This will be effective from 01st December 2020.

Please take note that all the expenses of the electronic funds transfer must be borne by the applicant and not by the Embassy of Spain in Pretoria. This should be taken into consideration, especially when the transfer is made from a non-South African account.

Likewise, the application will only be accepted once the transfer is reflected in the bank account of the Embassy at the time that the visa application is presented.

Payment is only accepted by the aforementioned electronic funds transfer; therefore, a cash deposit into the Embassy´s account will NOT be accepted under any circumstances.

However, in exceptional cases, applicants may also be permitted to pay in cash but only at the Consular Section of the Embassy at the time of the submission of the application, if the circumstances permit.

On the other hand, a reduction or exemption of the fee is foreseen in the current regulations in certain cases and this must be checked with the Spanish Diplomatic Missions or the Consular Offices.

Since the rest of the necessary requirements may vary depending on the reason for the trip and the applicant's country of origin the applicant must confirm it with the Diplomatic Mission or Consular Office where the visa is requested.

Total costs of the visas is to be confirmed with this Consular Section
