PCC legalization process for Nepalese documents

Important information

  • This legalization procedure is EXCLUSIVELY valid for individuals affected by the extraordinary regularization process in Spain.
  • Online process does not exist. It is a strictly in-person process.
  • Until further notice, applications will be accepted EXCLUSIVELY at the Consular Section of the Embassy of Spain in New Delhi (4, Golf Links, 110003, New Delhi).

Instructions

Please follow these guidelines to ensure your documents are processed successfully.

  • Before visiting the Consular Section in New Delhi, applicants need to obtain the legalization/attestation of the PCC by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal before submitting the document at the Consular Section in New Delhi.
  • Applicants do not need to schedule an appointment online or via phone.
  • A maximum of 100 applications per day will be accepted.
  • Slots will be assigned on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Daily schedule:
    • 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Staff will hand out the 100 available slots for the day. 
    • 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Documents will be accepted.
  • Once the legalization process is complete, documents will not be returned on-site. Instead, all processed documents will be sent to the Honorary Consulate of Spain in Kathmandu. Applicants must go to the Honorary Consulate in Kathmandu to collect their finalized documents.

Key Rules

  • Since slots are limited to the first 100 people, we recommend arriving at 8:00 AM.
  • Applicants must be physically present during the 8:00 AM distribution to receive your slot.
  • Once the 100 daily slots are distributed, no further applications will be accepted until the following business day.
  • Please ensure you have all required documentation ready before reaching the counter to avoid delays
  • If the applicant in whose name PCC is issued cannot visit the Consular Section, he/she shall authorize a third person to carry out the process. The authorized person must present an authorization letterSe abre en ventana nueva along with a document for identity proof.
  • Group submission:
    • Maximum limit per groups is 50 PCC
    • Authorization letter​Se abre en ventana nueva authorizing the person carrying out the process in the name of PCC holder.​
    • Data of all the applicants as per following sheetSe abre en ventana nueva.
  • Payment
    • Cash (exact amout of INR 799/- per legalization) and UPI.
    • Payment is not refundable.
  • The average processing time is 10 to 15 business days.
