José María Ridao Domínguez
José María Ridao joined the Diplomatic Service in 1987. He has Master’s degrees in Arabic Philology and in Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
He has been posted in the Spanish Embassies in Angola, former Soviet Union and Equatorial Guinea, as well as at the Consulate General of Spain in Paris. He was Spain’s representative to the OECD Development Assistance Committee between 1993 and 1996 and in 2004 Spanish Ambassador to UNESCO.
His last diplomatic assignment before being appointed as Ambassador of Spain to the Republic of India was Consul General in Washington D.C.
