The Ambassador of Spain visited the Miguel de Cervantes Senior Citizens' Centre

The centre’s directors briefed the Ambassador on the history and activities of the Senior Citizens' Centre. In turn, the Ambassador congratulated them on their work and expressed her pleasure in meeting the oldest members of the Spanish community in the United Kingdom, praising their contribution to British society as a demonstration of the ties that bind both countries.​

The Miguel de Cervantes Senior Citizens' Centre is a continuation of the Spanish Retirees' Club in London, founded in 1978. It is a leisure centre for retired Spaniards, where they also receive information and assistance with administrative procedures.
