Women Who Inspire

This year's event, organized by the Chamber of Commerce, focused on women's contributions to the technology sector

​Ambassador Aparici emphasized that investing in women in technology "is not only the right thing to do, but also a strategic decision with a significant impact and multiple benefits for companies and society as a whole." Raquel Barrera, founder of the Diversitas Institute and a member of the Chamber of Commerce Board, highlighted the importance of the Women Who Inspire initiative in giving women visibility in traditionally male-dominated fields.


A panel lead by Carla Vargas Puccio, Director of Technology at MHP, discussed the successes and challenges women face in the world of technology.  Panelists included Sana Ali Aamir, General Manager of FEVER for Northern Europe; Lara Dewar, Marketing Director at GSMA; and Gelareh Abooghadareh, Software Engineer at Rakuten. Hazel Diez Castaño, Global Head of Information Security at Santander; and Pilar Santamaría, CEO of Wisdomnowai. The panelists shared their personal and professional experiences, highlighting that, despite progress, there is still a long way to go to guarantee equality in opportunities, leadership, and recognition.
