The Spanish Ambassador, José Pascual Marco, praised the late President of the Chamber, Eduardo Barrachina, to whom the award was named after, and highlighted FCC's work in the United Kingdom and the leading role of Spanish companies in the country. Subsequently, the President of the business group, Esther Alcocer Koplowitz, accepted the award, emphasizing her company's commitment to the British market.
FCC is the fourth-largest Spanish construction company by contract volume and has been operating in the United Kingdom for more than twenty-five years, where it has established itself as a leader with the construction of motorways, the Mersey Bridge in Liverpool, and the development of infrastructure for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
