Kitack Lim and Arsenio Dominguez, current and future Secretary Generals of the IMO, attended the event along with 200 representatives and delegates from countries participating in the Assembly.
After the presentation of the video of Spain's candidacy, the Ambassador highlighted the work of the Spanish delegation, headed by Victor Jiménez, reiterating our country's commitment to maritime security, the decarbonisation of the sector and the defense of the rights of sea workers.
Spain has chaired the IMO Council during the 2022-23, and is seeking a new re-election as a member of the Council.
