Ambassador Aparici was accompanied by her family and members of the Spanish Embassy in London.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Embassy, attended by diplomats accredited to London and prominent figures from Spanish and British society.
The Marshal of the British Diplomatic Corps, Sir Alistair Harrison, delivered a speech highlighting the ties between the United Kingdom and Spain and wishing the Ambassador all the best.
Ambassador Aparici, for her part, expressed her pride in being the first female Ambassador of Spain to the United Kingdom and pledged to work "for both our countries and their people."
Finally, the Ambassador and the Marshal offered a toast in honour of HM King Felipe and HM King Charles.
The Spanish diplomatic representation at the Court of St. James's dates back to the 15th century, with Spain being the first country to appoint a permanent Ambassador to British soil.
