Wednesday, June 17, 2026

Ambassador Aparici welcomed the attendees, urging them to continue defending LGBTQ+ rights in a world where there are signs of regression. "We must defy fear, break the stigma, and protect the LGBTI+  family with everything we have," the Ambassador stated.

The keynote talk was given by Lady Phyll, human rights activist and co-founder of the UK Black Pride group, who shared her experiences, leaving a powerful message for LGBTI+ people: "Don't let anyone dim your light, because you are wonderful."

Emily Hamilton, Deputy CEO of the Trans in the City association, and Prasad Hattikudur, from Deutsche Bank, held a discussion about the importance of the family, personal, and work environments for LGBTI+ people. They emphasized the need for the LGBTI+ community to have inclusive and respectful spaces in the workplace, as this "may be the only environment where they feel fully accepted and free."

Raquel Barrera, representing the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, underscored the institution's commitment to diversity and integration. "An equal, diverse, and inclusive society is a better society, also for the business world," highlighted the Chamber's Head of Diversity Issues.

Finally, the guests enjoyed music, food and drinks.
