Prominent representatives from the business, cultural, political, and media sectors met in the Catalan capital to discuss current issues such as the impact of tariffs, defense challenges, migration, healthcare, or the energy transition.

The Tertulias have been held annually since 1988, alternating between Spain and the United Kingdom, with the aim of fostering a better understanding between the two societies. The initiative arose following the late Queen Elizabeth II's State visit to Spain.
