Ambassador, Emma Aparici, celebrated the close relationship between the Spanish and British Monarchies, symbolized by the figure of Queen Victoria Eugenie, wife of King Alfonso XIII. The director of the Cervantes Institute, Víctor Ugarte, spoke about the Queen Consort and encouraged everyone to visit the exhibition.

Subsequently, a talk took place regarding the exhibition and Queen Victoria Eugenie. Participants included Víctor Cageao, director of the Royal Collections Gallery; Alessandro Nassini, curator of the photography at the Royal Collection Trust; and Reyes Utrera and Arancha Domingo, curators of the exhibition. As mentioned, one of the paintings in the exhibition is a portrait of the Queen, a replica of which is displayed at the Spanish Embassy in London.

The exhibition on Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg, born in Balmoral and granddaughter of Queen Victoria, will be open at the Royal Collections Gallery in Madrid until April 5th.
