The event highlighted the close ties between culture, creativity, and gastronomy. As the Ambassador noted, Spanish gastronomy is a strategic asset for the country—one the government aims to promote by showcasing its quality and diversity. Spain is a leading global producer of food and beverages; in 2025, its exports exceeded €78 billion in value.

Spanish gastronomy demonstrates a deep respect for tradition, blending it with creativity, talent, and innovation. Spanish chefs and restaurants serve as premier ambassadors for the country, helping to showcase not only our products but also our culture, regions, and traditions.

Guests at the reception sampled iconic examples of Spanish cuisine, such as jamón ibérico and paella. Additionally, the short film 'Carácter'—starring María Pagés—was screened; it highlighted the connection between art and gastronomy, visualizing the richness and diversity of Spanish agricultural products through the medium of flamenco.
