The meeting, organized by the Institute of Development Studies and the New Economics Foundation, brought together experts and representatives from several countries, who debated the challenges of sustainable development policies in these current difficult circumstances.
The Ambassador highlighted the importance of the Seville Conference, which will be held from June 30th to July 3rd 2025, and whose objective is to approve a new plan for development financing that will allow progress toward achieving the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. The Spanish representative also emphasized that this conference, along with the G20 Summit in Johannesburg and COP30 in Belém, must be "beacons of multilateral cooperation" to address global challenges.
José Pascual Marco also expressed his desire for the active participation of the British Government in the Seville Conference, with a high-level delegation that will contribute to achieving transformative results for the benefit of the international community.
