The British-Spanish Society Summer Party

​​Ambassador Aparici praised the work of the BSS, which helps bring Spanish and British societies closer together through its cultural and educational activities, most notably the scholarships it awards each year.

Sir Anthony Cooke-Yarborough, President of the British-Spanish Society, summarized the past year's activities, expressing his satisfaction at contributing to the strength of British-Spanish relations.

Maria Panayiotou, Director of Careers and Students at the IE Alumni & Careers Club, one of the society's benefactors, discussed the importance of the BSS scholarship programme.

Following the speeches, a reception featuring Spanish products was held, where attendees celebrated Spain's victory against Austria in the World Cup.


The British Spanish Society, founded in 1916 under the name of the Anglo-Spanish League, aims to promote ​Spanish-British relations.
