Ms. Sánchez Grau attended the 45th WTM accompanied by Ambassador Aparici and the Counsellor for Tourism.

The Secretary of State visited the Turespaña stand (which hosted 38 exhibitors, including autonomous communities, cities, and hotel companies), as well as the stands of several other Spanish companies.

Rosario Sánchez Grau announced an agreement with the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) aimed at improving tourism management. The agreement seeks to foster cooperation between the market source and the host destinations to address challenges such as visitor concentration or environmental impact.

Additionally, the Secretary of State launched Turespaña's accessible tourism campaign, “Spain, a Country for All," which highlights the country as an accessible and inclusive tourist destination, a move supported by Spain's role as the official accessibility partner of the World Travel Market. “Governing tourism means ensuring its sustainability and its future," noted Rosario Sánchez.

The United Kingdom is Spain's primary market source for tourists. In 2025, 19 million British citizens visited Spain. Between January and August of this year, the figure reached 13.9 million, an increase of 5.4% compared to the same period last year.
