Ambassador Aparici welcomed the addition of the first two British institutions—Europa School UK and The Bilingual Primary School—to the ISA network.

Undersecretary Roura Gómez hailed the move as a milestone in promoting the Spanish language in the United Kingdom, expressing confidence that these would be the first of many such schools. Meanwhile, the Education Counsellor, Fernando Bartolomé, introduced the head teachers of Europa School UK and The Bilingual Primary School; they expressed their satisfaction at joining ISA and pledged to continuing to develop bilingual Spanish-English education at their respective schools.

International Spanish Academies (ISA) are schools with a strong academic reputation that offer bilingual education programmes in English and Spanish, with the support, guidance and recognition of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports. Membership of the ISA network also provides a framework for collaboration and the exchange of experiences and good practices between participating schools in the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom, and the Ministry.
