The Ambassador, José Pascual Marco, congratulated the women and recalled that, despite the prominent developments in equality, there is still much to do, especially in certain countries.
Raquel Barrera, member of the Chamber board, presented the “Women's Voice Report", which collects data on women in the professional world. She also praised the Chamber's work in promoting gender equality, mentioning initiatives to promote the role of women in the business world.
The event closed with the words of Amy Clemisthaw, Deputy Director of the Department of Women and Girls at the Foreign Office, who spoke of British diplomacy's commitment to gender equality both in the Ministry and in foreign strategy.
