January 24, 2024

The Spanish Ambassador and the Labour politician spoke about security in Europe, especially the war in Ukraine and the need for allies to maintain their support for Kiev.

They also addressed the cooperation between the Spanish and British defence industries, highlighting the bid that Navantia won last year to manufacture three logistic ships for the British Navy, and the great work carried out by Spain and the United Kingdom (along with Germany and Italy) in the Eurofighter project.

The Spanish Ambassador praised the British defence procurement system for its transparency, and indicated the disposition of Spanish companies to participate in this market.
