Martin Callanan is Minister for Business, Energy and Corporate Responsibility, as well as Parliamentary Under-Secretary, which is why he is in charge of legislative activity on the matter at the House of Lords.
The Ambassador spoke about Spain's commitment to renewable energy, and the leadership of Spanish companies in the sector in the British market.
Lord Callanan elaborated on the importance of the energy transition, and on efforts to improve energy efficiency in the UK. He also highlighted the possibilities of cooperating with Spain in fields such as offshore wind energy and green hydrogen.
