Your rights regarding data protection 

The Embassy of Spain in Thailand informs you that you have the right to access to your personal data and to obtain confirmation on how this data is being used. Likewise, you have the right to request for the rectification of inaccurate data and its deletion once the purpose for which it was collected by the Embassy is met.

In certain circumstances, you may request to put a limit to the use of your data, in which case, the Embassy will keep it only for processing any possible complaints.

Moreover, in certain circumstances you can refuse the use of your personal data for the purpose informed by the Embassy. In this case, the Embassy will cease accessing personal data, unless there are legitimate reasons or they are needed defending any possible claims.  

Finally, you can request for the portability of your data and thus, obtain for yourself or for a third party certain information derived from the relationship that you have established with the Embassy.

You can exercise these rights by:

Sending an e-mail to

The Embassy will provide you with the requested information within a maximum period of one month from the reception of the request. This period may be extended by another two months if need be, taking into account the complexity of your request and the number of requests being handled by the Embassy at the moment. 

You can withdraw the consent given for the use of your data for a specific purpose at any time. But the use of that data already made based on your previous consent will remain unaffected in this case. 

You may lodge a complaint with the competent data protection control authority. However, initially, you can file a complaint with the Data Protection Delegate at the Spanish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, EU and Cooperation, who will review the claim within a maximum period of two months.
