THE ISSUE OF VISAS REQUIRES THREE DIFFERENT STAGES:

 SUBMISSION OF THE VISA APPLICATION EXCLUSIVELY BY REGISTERD POST w. TRACKING NUMBER TO THE FOLLLOWING ADRESS:

ONCE THE APPPLICATION IS SUBMITTED, THIS GENERAL CONSULATE WILL GIVE AN APPOINTMENT TO THE APPLICANT (ONLY SCHENGEN VISAS AND CERTAIN NATIONAL VISAS) EXCLUSIVELY BY EMAIL. PLEASE NOTE THAT APPOINTMENTS WILL BE GIVEN FOR TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS FOR SCHENGEN VISAS, AND FOR FRIDAYS FOR NATIONAL VISAS, IN BOTH CASES BETWEEN 10.30 AND 13.00 HOURS.  PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THIS GENERAL CONSULATE FOR VISA PURPOSES IF YOU DON'T HAVE A PREVIOUS APPOINTMENT.

 IF THE VISA IS GRANTED OR REFUSED, OR THE APPLICATION SHOULD BE RETURNED TO THE APPLICANT WITHOUT BEING PROCESSED, PASSPORTS OR APPLICATIONS MUST BE COLLECTED BY THE APPLICANT OR AUTHORISED PERSON, SINCE THIS CONSULAR OFFICE DOES NOT RETURN THEM BY MAIL. COLLECTION TIMES ARE TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS FOR SCHENGEN VISAS AND FRIDAYS FOR NATIONAL VISAS, IN BOTH CASES BETWEEN 10.30 AND 13.00 HOURS, WITHOUT APPOINTMENT.

VISA APPLICATIONS WILL BE PROCESSED WITH A MINIMUM PROCESSING TIME PERIOD OF 6 WEEKS; THIS PROCESSING TIME MAY BE EXTENDED FOR NATIONAL VISAS, AS THEY WILL ONLY BE ISSUED ONCE APPROVAL HAS BEEN GRANTED BY THE RELEVANT SPANISH AUTHORITIES. PLEASE ENSURE TO ALLLOW SUFFICIENT TIME FOR PROCESSING, AS WE DO NOT OFFER A PRIORITY SERVICE.

INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS OR RECEIVED WITH LESS THAN 6 WEEKS PRIOR TO TRAVEL, WILL BE RETURNED WITHOUT BEING PROCESSED.

The following forms may be used to do so: 

Persons whose visa application has been refused because they are banned from entering the Schengen area may exercise their rights of access, rectification and erasure of their personal data in the Schengen Information System (SIS) by addressing the Ministry of the Interior.
