The Consulate General of Spain conveys the sad news of the passing of Jesús Silva, Consul General in Cape Town from August 2021 to July 2025.
Jesús Silva was a Spanish career diplomat with a distinguished professional trajectory, having served as Ambassador of Spain to Jamaica, Panama, and Venezuela. He dedicated his life and his huge energy to serving our country. He was currently Consul General in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Deeply committed to the Spanish community in Cape Town and throughout the entire consular jurisdiction, both he and his wife Sara are fondly remembered with great affection.
