The Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, today presided over the XXV meeting of the Board of Trustees of the ONUART Foundation, held at the Palacio de Viana. As well as presenting the entity's plans for 2024, the meeting also approved the appointment of José Luis Bonet as the new president of the Foundation.

ONUART is a private non-profit entity with public-private funding and was established in 2007 to promote multilateralism through culture and art in initiatives linked to the United Nations and its agencies.

At this XXV meeting of the Board of Trustees of the ONUART Foundation, the minutes of the previous meeting (held in June 2023) were also approved, and the activities carried out throughout 2023 and the plans for 2024 were presented, together with the chairman's report. In addition, the audit of the accounts for 2023 was presented and the budget for this year was approved.

The activities carried out in 2023 and those planned for 2024 reflect an increase in the Foundation's work with the aim of placing culture at the heart of the activity of United Nations agencies.
