The Travellers’ Register is a tool that helps facilitate contact with those people travelling overseas without first establishing their residence in the destination country.
The aim of this register is for the Spanish authorities to be able to locate and contact, if possible, registered Spanish travellers in the event of a serious emergency (natural disaster, armed conflict, etc.). At any event, the traveller will remain responsible for acting with the greatest diligence possible to avoid high-risk situations.
In certain countries, it is necessary to consult the Travel recommendations since they indicate that, as well as registering in the Travellers’ Register, it is highly advisable to notify your travel itinerary directly to the corresponding Embassy or Consulate.
Should you have any further doubts regarding the Travellers’ Register, please consult the sections on FAQs and the Privacy policy.
Those Spaniards that travel to another country to relocate there should register in the Consulate Register corresponding to the place of future residence.
