This section provides detailed information necessary for foreigners who want to visit Spain.
  • Entry Requirements
    This section describes the different requirements currently in force for entering Spanish territory.
  • Airport Transit Visa

    These visas entitle their holders to pass through the international transit zone in a Spanish airport.
     
    The procedures and conditions for issuing these visas are included in Regulation (EC) No. 810/2009 establishing a Community Code on Visas (Visa Code)

  • Uniform Schengen Visa

    Este visado permite estancias en el área Schengen de hasta 90 días (en cualquier período de 180 días) por razones de turismo, negocios, visita familiar, tratamiento médico, para realizar estudios, prácticas no laborales o actividades de voluntariado de duración inferior a 3 meses, o para otras actividades que no tengan carácter lucrativo. También permite el tránsito territorial y aeroportuario.

     

    Los procedimientos y condiciones para la expedición de estos visados se encuentran recogidos en el Reglamento (CE) nº 810/2009 por el que se establece un Código comunitario sobre visados (Código de visados)

  • Long-Term Visas

  • Foreigners' Identity Number (N.I.E.)
    Foreigners having an economic, professional or social connection with Spain may apply personally for an N.I.E.

    Once a visa has been issued, there are certain formalities which must necessarily be carried out in Spain.
