The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation has put a successful end to the 2019 Edition of the Program “Meeting with Spanish Ambassadors” with Spanish Ambassador in Brazil, Mr. Fernando García Casas's visit between the 25th and the 29th November. This yearly event is organised by the Directorate-General for International Economic Relations in cooperation with the Exporters and Investors Club pursuant to a Cooperation agreement underwritten in 2006 envisaging gatherings with business and academic institutions in several Spanish locations.

During his visit, Ambassador García Casas held meetings and gatherings with the Chamber of Commerce in Seville, the Exporters and Investors Club, the Diplomatic School, the Chamber of Commerce in Badajoz, and several academic institutions like ICADE and the CEI in Barcelona.

The Ambassadors in Equator, Senegal, India and United Arab Emirates have also been part to this 2019 edition, and gatherings have been held in Madrid, Barcelona, Tarragona, Badajoz, Pamplona and Seville thanks to the cooperation of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce.

The Meeting with Spanish Ambassadors Program is a benchmark for the task performed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation in economic diplomacy and the promotion of Spanish economic interests abroad. Information, analyses, and very useful contacts may be accessed by institutions, companies, investors, students and other stakeholders through this program with the help of the main characters of Spanish diplomacy.

Participating Ambassadors for the 2020 Edition will be revealed very soon, an edition towards which work is already being actively done and in which participation of other actors involved is expected to increase, together with dissemination thereof.
