Spain condemns terrorist attack in Mali

News

The Government of Spain condemns the terrorist attack perpetrated on 15 March against members of the Armed Forces of Mali at a security post in Tessit (Gao region), killing, at the latest count, 33 servicemen and injuring 14 others. The government regrets the loss of human life and expresses its sincere condolences to the Government of Mali, and particularly to the families and friends of the victims. The government also wishes those injured a speedy recovery.

The Government of Spain reiterates its firm support for the people and authorities of Mali in the fight against terrorism, as well as its firm commitment to the stability of the country with a view to a successful transition.
