Spain-U.S. Science Cooperation
Scientific and Technological Cooperation with the United States

Spanish Scientific and technological cooperation with USA is very broad and decentralized in its structure. A large number of joint initiatives are carried out by research organizations, universities, enterprises and the researchers themselves in all fields of science.

Every year, several hundred of scientists and students from Spain and the USA perform study visits to the respective partner country. All in all, an enormous number of science and research projects are carried out jointly or in a way so as to complement each other.

Framework for bilateral cooperation in research and technology
The S&T cooperation agreement that was concluded between the USA and Spain in 1994 to strengthen the scientific and technological capabilities of the two countries and to broaden and expand relations between their scientific and technological communities.
