Self-Employed Investors Residence Visa

SPANISH RESIDENCE VISA and WORK PERMIT
for INVESTORS or SELF-EMPLOYED

I. APPLICATION:
This visa allows the foreigner to reside in Spain as self-employed and work in a company in which the applicant has invested the required capital. This kind of visa required many procedures in Spain before different institutions, usually the applicant need a lawyer in Spain to issue this type of visa.

 

All the documents which are not in english or spanish must be translated into Spanish by an official translator recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain (please check of "Legalisations in Singapore" section). 

  

II. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED: 
1. National application form.
 
2. One passport size photo (white background).
 
3. Original Passport valid for a minimum of one year and at least two empty pages.
 
4. Singaporean IC: NRIC, employment card/ dependant pass/ student pass/ PR card (and re-entry permit).​ Original and photocopy.
 
5. Police Criminal Records legalized with the “Apostille of the Hague Convention” or legalized by the Spanish Embassy or Consulate of the country of origin. The police criminal record must be obtained (criminal background check) from all the countries where you have lived in the past five years for more than 6 months, legalized with the “Apostille of the Hague Convention” or by  the Spanish Consulate or Embassy in the respective countries. Declaratory statement will not be accepted instead.
 
6. Medical certificate: This certificate must be on letterhead and signed in handwriting by a doctor (MD). The official seal of the health centre will not be accepted in lieu of a signature of the physician. The validity of this certificate is 3 months from the date of issue. You can find a sample of the medical certificate in our website. The doctor may also use this sample as a guide to write their own certificate. Remember that it must specifically mention the WHO International Health Regulation (2005).
 
7. Studies homologated by Spanish Ministry of Education when required by your profession/occupation.
 
8. Proof of income for the investment in Spain (bank statements or letter from the bank in Spain).
 
9. Work or Investment Project showing the type of business to conduct as well as the projected financial gains and, if applicable, jobs to be created by such project.
 
10. List of the authorizations and/or permits required to open or conduct the future business along with the permits and /or licenses already obtained from the relevant authorities in Spain.
 
11. Proof of accommodation. Provide one of the following documents: 
      • Letter of Invitation as issued by the "Policía Nacional" in Spain 
      • Lease, or 
      • Title deed of property.
 
12. Health insurance with full coverage in Spain and necessarily including Repatriation Coverage. Minimum of € 30,000 or its equivalent in Singapore dollars. Your policy has to cover:
                      -Medical expenses
                      -Hospitalization
                      -Emergency and repatriation 
 
13. Authorization of temporal residence and work permit application (Form EX07), with a cost of SGD 17.
 
14. Additional requirements may apply
 
 
 Be aware that a non-refundable fee of SGD 97.20 is required to process the file. The fee will not be refunded in case of refusal.


 If the visa is approved, the applicant has one month (as of the approval notification date) to appear in person to collect the visa. Failure to collect the visa within one month will be considered as a refusal of the visa and the application will be filed.

 Applicants must enter in spain within the validity dates of visa. Entry must be stamped on the passport. Applicant has 1 month to apply for the residence card appearing in person at the “Oficina de Extranjeros” of the “Subdelegación del Gobierno”.

 You must apply at the Consulate of Spain in PERSON.

 No visa can be issued if the applicant is already in Spain.

 The Embassy has full authority to evaluate, deny and request more documents than those submitted by the applicant. The latter is hereby informed that submitting those documents requested DOES NOT guarantee automatic issuance of the visa.

 All documents must be submitted at the same time and cannot exceed 90 days from the day they were issued
