Visa Application Process
Step 1: Applications for short stay visas are accepted at the
BLS Visa Centre
Step 2: Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your “purpose of visit" do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. BLS is only responsible for the reception of applications and release of the passports after they have been processed. BLS does not have a say on whether your visa will be granted and how long it will take to process your application, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Embassy of Spain.
Step 3: Please ensure you have checked the jurisdiction section before the submission of your application in New Delhi. Applications must be submitted at either of the offices as per your actual place of residence (last 6 months). Applications not submitted in accordance with the jurisdiction will not be processed and shall be returned to the applicant. See the link Where to apply
Step 4: Ensure that the application is being submitted well in advance before the dates of travel. As per the Schengen legislation, the stipulated processing time is 15 working days, calculated from the day on which the application has been received by the Embassy of Spain and is considered complete (This excludes the number of days provided by the Embassy to submit additional documents or for personal appearances, if any). If the applicant is travelling to any other country before his/her travel to the Shengen territory, the application must be submitted at least 15 working days prior to this particular travel to accommodate other included travel plans.
