Entry requirements in Spain (update)

From the 1st July the members of the Schengen Area, which includes Spain, have decided to maintain temporary entry restrictions for non-essential travel from third countries by non-European citizens.

 

Thus, Spain maintains the same entry requirements as before for travelers from India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bhutan. To protect your and others’ health, you will be required to fill out an online health form at https://spth.gob.es/   before the trip. You should not travel to Spain if you have symptoms compatible with COVID19 (fever, cough, difficulty breathing), have been diagnosed with COVID19 in the last 14 days, or have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID19 in the last two weeks.  before the trip. The Spanish authorities continue to allow the entry of Spanish citizens, other European citizens, their families and the following categories, regardless of nationality or place of origin:

 

a) Residents of the European Union, Schengen Associated States, Andorra, Monaco, The Vatican (Holy See) or San Marino.

 

b) Holders of a long-term visa issued by a Member State or Schengen Associated State.

 

c) Cross-border workers.

 

d) Health professionals, including health researchers, and elderly care professionals who go to or return from exercising their activity.

 

e) Personnel dedicated to the transport of goods in the exercise of their activity, including ship crew, in order to ensure the provision of maritime transport services and fishing activity, and flight personnel necessary to carry out air transport activities. It will be an indispensable condition that they ensure the immediate continuation of the trip.

 

f) Diplomatic, consular, international, military and civil protection organizations and members of humanitarian organizations, in the exercise of their functions.

 

g) Students who study in the Member States or Schengen Associated States and who have the corresponding permit or visa.

 

h) Highly qualified workers whose work is necessary and cannot be postponed or carried out remotely. These circumstances must be justified with relevant documents.

 

i) People traveling for imperative family reasons.

 

j) People traveling for reasons of force majeure or humanitarian.

 

Tourists from Thailand, Algeria, Australia, Canada, South Korea, Japan, Georgia, Montenegro, New Zealand, Rwanda, Serbia, Tunisia and Uruguay will also be accepted with visa, as appropriate.

 

Quarantine will not be required.
