As Ambassador of Spain to the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of the Marshall Islands, let me cordially welcome you to the web page of the Embassy of Spain, which aspires to be an accessible and dynamic tool for all citizens who may wish to get to know the services and news that the website offers.
Both in the Philippines and the rest of the countries where  this Embassy is accredited, we work towards the strengthening of friendly relations and cooperation in all fields.  In the Philippines, the historical and cultural ties have recently been complemented by a series of factors that propels a more intense bilateral relation.  Among these factors that stand out are the growing importance of contact between civil societies, the concurrence in interests and goals in multilateral fora on far-reaching issues, development cooperation and the increasingly significant trade exchanges between Philippine and Spanish companies.  From this diplomatic mission, we work towards continuing to strengthen these factors, promoting the interests of Spain and those of its citizens and Spanish companies, while we also keep supporting at a very prominent level the fostering of Spanish language and culture as well as cooperation in the field of education.
For all these reasons, this Embassy´s team, through the different sectorial offices that forms it, tries every day to offer the best possible service. I encourage all those interested to also explore the digital contents of the said units of the Embassy, aside from the website of the Consulate General of Spain in Manila for all consular matters.
I am confident that this web page can be useful and I thank you in advance for the suggestions that you may have to improve it.
Sincerely yours,
Luis Antonio Calvo Castaño
Ambassador of Spain
