HEALTH AND TRAVEL ADVISORY: COVID-19
3/10/2020
With immediate effect, the Government of Jamaica has imposed restrictions for travel between Jamaica and Spain as a result of the coronavirus crisis.

This measure means that the follow procedures are now in effect for travelers who have visited Spain within fourteen days of arrival in Jamaica:

Jamaican nationals, Spanish citizens and other non-Jamaicans with permanent residency or marriage exemption will have landing privileges but be subject to health assessment and quarantine. Those who are considered high-risk will be quarantined in government facilities; those who are deemed low-risk will be quarantined at home under the supervision of the health authorities.

  1. Spaniards and other foreign nationals without permanent residency or marriage exemption will be denied entry to the country. This includes non-permanent residents and tourists.
  2. In light of this, the Embassy recommends that all Spanish nationals in Jamaica do not travel to Spain or any other of the countries listed until the Government of Jamaica lifts the restriction.

The list of restricted countries is regularly updated by the Jamaican Authorities. Before travelling, we urge that you consult  “JAMAICA’S TRAVEL ADVISORY” on the Ministry of Health’s website https://www.moh.gov.jm/edu-resources/learn-about-the-coronaviruses/
