Passport, Visa and Registration
To enter Sudan it is compulsory to have a valid passport and a visa. The visa can be issued by the Embassy of Sudan in Madrid. Its validity varies from 8 days to 3 months, for either tourism of business purposes. The price of the visa is around 60 euros for tourism visas and around 90 euros for business visas. Visas can not be obtained on arrival at the Airport of Khartoum.
Within three days from arrival, visitors are also required to register at the Directorate General of Passports of Sudan, or at the Police Station of the Airport of Khartoum, regardless of the purpose of the travel or the type of passport. In Khartoum it is also possible to do this at the Police Station of Burri Area, close to the Embassy of Spain.
Some hotels can take care of the registration for a fee.
Travelling out of Khartoum
