During their stay, the boys will perform together with the Palestrina Choir from St. Mary's Pro Cathedral of Dublin, and will sing in Limerick and in Glenstal Abbey
The Escolanía de Montserrat will visit Ireland for the first time

The choir will offer two concerts on 17th and 19th April in the Redemptorist’s Church of Limerick and the Pro Cathedral of Dublin

The Escolanía de Montserrat will visit Ireland from 16th to 20th April. During  this their first visit to Ireland they will perform in two Irish cities and will give a joint concert with the Palestrina Choir.
With the cooperation of the Embassy of Spain, the Archdiocese of Dublin, the Benedictine Abbey of Glenstal and the Church of the Redemptorist Fathers in Limerick, the Escolanía will give two concerts in Ireland.  The visit has been sponsored by the Spanish firms ABERTIS, GRIFOLS and RIU HOTELS.
During their visit to Limerick, the Escolanía of the Monastery of Montserrat will be hosted by the monks of Glenstal Abbey, both Benedictine congregations.  This will give the Choir an opportunity to enjoy a cultural exchange with the boarding students of the Abbey.
The first concert will take place on Tuesday 17th April, at 8.00pm in the Redemptorist Church in Limerick.  That same day, the Choir and their Tutors will be officially received by the Mayor of Limerick, Councillor Stephen Keary.
In Dublin, the boys will stay with the families of the Palestrina Choir. The two Choirs will  have a musical exchange which will culminate in a joint concert on Thursday 19th April at 8.00pm in Dublin’s Pro Cathedral.
All Escolanía concerts during their stay in Ireland will be open to the public free of charge. The Escolanía and the Palestrina Choir, as well as the organisers of the visit, have been sponsored by three Spanish companies established in Ireland: ABERTIS, GRIFOLS and RIU HOTELS.  With their support, they have made this visit a reality.
The Escolanía de Montserrat has performed extensively abroad; they have visited Russia, the United States, Poland, France, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Belgium and Italy.  With this visit, Ireland is incorporated to this long list.
