​El Gobierno de España expresa su felicitación a las autoridades y al pueblo de Gambia por el pacífico desarrollo de las elecciones en el país.

La Comisión electoral independiente de Gambia ha declarado vencedor al candidato independiente, Adama Barrow, y el presidente Yahya Jamé ha reconocido los resultados y ha felicitado al ganador.

El Gobierno de España subraya el valor del compromiso mostrado por todas las partes con este proceso democrático, y les insta a continuar por la senda emprendida en el ejercicio de la democracia y el respeto al estado de derecho.

The Government of Spain congratulates the authorities and people of Gambia on the peaceful way in which the elections unfolded in the country.

The Independent Electoral Commission of Gambia declared the independent candidate, Adama Barrow, as the winner and President Yahya Jamé accepted the results and congratulated the winner.

The Government of Spain underlines the value of the commitment shown by all the parties to this democratic process, and urges them to continue down this chosen path in exercise of democracy and respect of the rule of law.
