Accreditation Visa
DIPLOMATIC ACCREDITATION VISA 
 
 
Australian diplomats travelling for the purpose of commencing an official Government posting in Spain will have to present their applications in person and attach the following documents: 

 
 
1. Diplomatic passport with a minimum validity of one year and at least two blank pages. 
2. One national visa application form in duplicate duly completed and signed. 
3. Two passport size photographs on a light coloured background. One of the photos must be glued (not stapled) to the visa application form on the top left hand corner. Photographs must be printed on quality photographic paper. 
4. Third person Note from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade with the following information: 
  • Full name, passport number, date and place of birth 
  • Full name, passport number, date and place of birth of all the family members 
  • Estimated date of arrival in Spain 
  • Estimated date of departure from Spain 
  • Name and position of the employee 
5. Birth and marriage certificates (in case of family travelling together)

 
​If you are a diplomat of another country travelling to commence a posting at your Embassy in Spain, please contact this office prior to applying for the visa.

• Please visit our website to check the most recent visa fees
 
• We only accept cash (exact change). No personal check, no credit cards. The processing fee will not be returned even if the visa is not granted or cancelled.
