Horarios, localización y contacto

Working hours:

Open to the public:

From Monday to Thursday, from 9:00 to 14:00.

 1. Visas

We hereby wish to inform the general public that effective 19th December 2016, all Schengen visa applications to Spain are to be presented at BLS Global, located on the 7th Floor of GNAT Heights on the Independence Avenue in Accra.

For further information on Schengen visas, kindly visit https://ghana.blsspainvisa.com.

Long stay visa applications (family reunion visa, student visa, residence visa, etc.) must be presented at this Embassy from Monday to Thursday between 8:00am and 12:00pm. It is compulsory to book an appointment sending an email to emb.accra.leg@maec.es.

All questions about visa applications must be forwarded to emb.accra.visa@maec.es

At the time of submission of the first application, the applicant shall be required to appear in person to enable the capture of their photograph, scanned or taken at the time of application, and their 10 fingerprints.

This new directive will apply to all applicants, except the following:

  • Children under the age of 12.
  • Persons for whom fingerprinting is physically impossible.
  • Heads of State or government and members of a national government with accompanying spouses, and the members of their official delegation when they are invited by Member States’ governments or by international organizations for an official purpose.
  • Sovereigns and other senior members of a royal family, when they are invited by Member States’ governments or by international organizations for an official purpose, including those covered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.

2. Legalizations

Documents for legalization are presented at the Embassy between 8:00am and 10:00am from Monday to Thursday. It is compulsory to book an appointment sending an email to emb.accra.leg@maec.es.

All applications for the legalization of Ghanaian public documents should follow the laid down order in chronological sequence:

  1. Firstly, obtain the stamp, signature and seal of the competent Public Notary who is legalizing the document at the rear of the document. The original document should also bear a brief statement, preferably stamped, by the Public Notary stating that the document is an original, OR that they certify the signature and office of the authorizing signature on the original document. (For example: I, Public Notary, hereby certify that this document is an original Ghanaian document and bears the signature of an authorized competent authority).
  2. Secondly, obtain a Letter of Attestation from the Judicial Service. This letter should certify that the stamp, signature and seal of the Public Notary are authentic (in place of the affidavit as was previously the case. Please note that affidavits are no longer accepted, except for Bachelor’s/Spinster’s Certificates).
  3. Thirdly, obtain a letter of certification from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
  4. Finally, submit your documents at the Embassy of Spain for legalization.

Documents that do not chronologically follow the above sequence will not be accepted.
