You must reside in one of these provinces: Ontario (Ottawa not included), British Columbia, Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, Nunavut y Yukon. If you reside in another province, contact our representations in Montreal and Ottawa.

Stays of less than 90 days (Schengen visas).
YOU MUST APPLY FOR YOUR VISA PERSONALLY; ANY MONEY YOU PAY TO ANY AGENCY OR THIRD PERSON TO APPLY FOR YOUR VISA DOES NOT GIVE YOU ANY PRIORITY IN YOUR VISA PROCEDURE.
1 If you are Canadian and you want to be in Spain less than 90 days, you don´t need a visa unless you are going to work. In that case, consult your employer in Spain. He must obtain a "autorización para trabajar por cuenta ajena".
2 If you are not Canadian, check this FAQ page from the European Commission.
3 If you must apply in this Consulate, this is the list of the documents that you must gather first:

4 You will have to come personally to the consulate in Toronto, even if you live far from Toronto, because we must take your finger prints. You need a prior appointment that you must fix personally yourself.
Fix an appointment only if
A) you have read our web;
B) you need a Schengen visa for less than 90 days;
C) you have all the necessary documents and the fee ready.
The appointment is fixed by an automatic system, so the date of your appointment depends on those taken by other people before. Reckon three weeks and, in the high season, June to August, up to five weeks.
5 Once you come to the Consulate, your visa will take other three weeks to be processed. If you want to advance your appointment, check in the system to see if other people have cancelled their appointments; if so, fix a new one and cancel the other.
So only if you fulfill all the conditions and you are the same person who is going to travel, fix an appointment.
Before you fix it:
one appointment per person. If two persons travel together, they can fix the appointment together. Three or more persons cannot. All siblings can be included in the appointment of their parents.
One single date of appointment. If you fix more than one appointment, they will not be considered valid.
We are at 2, Bloor street East, suite 1201, Toronto. Subway <Bloor/Yonge.
If you still have doubts, send it to cog.toronto.vis@maec.es . Before sending your email, take into account that...
... we cannot advance your appointment. It is an automated system.
... we cannot tell you by email if the documents that you attach are enough or OK, or if a specific document is valid or not. We can only make a judgement about your application once you have come to the Consulate and applied for your visa.
... there is no point in asking us to skip one of the requirements, especially not coming to the Consulate in Toronto.
Except EU and EEE citizens, all foreigners need a visa to stay more than 90 days in Spain.
If you are Canadian and younger than 36, you can apply for a youth mobility visa whatever the reason of your stay. If you do, you don´t need another visa.
Otherwise, check our internet page for requirements. Open the factsheet that fits the reason of your stay.
Once you have your documents ready, send them by post to our address. You cannot fix an appointment. Bear in mind that appointments take a minimum of two weeks, so by post your visa will be proccessed more quickly.
If you still have doubts, send it to cog.toronto.vis@maec.es . If that doubt is answered in this page, it will take longer for us to answer it.
If you are married, you are the son or daughter, or you are the dependent ascendant of an EU or EEE citizen, you must prove your family relation and of the nationality of the EU or EEE citizen relative; check if you need a visa to enter Spain. If you do, come to the consulate with your passport, a form and two photographs. You don´t need more documents, but the proof of your family relationship and of the nationality of your relative must be valid. Ask for an appointment.
If you don´t need a visa, just go to Spain and contact the nearest Oficina de Extranjería.
